Our heroes
Through their generosity and support, these people make Treatment Bag possible:
The frontline

Every month we donate bags to NHS hospitals and oncology centres. The bags are handed out to patients by the truly wonderful nurses who already have overloaded work schedules, but have decided that adding 'bag distribution' to their long list of tasks is worth it. They are a rare and special breed and without them the world would be a poorer place. A very heart-felt thank you from us.
We are proud to donate to 7 NHS hospitals:

From Me to You
There is something really special about receiving a handwritten letter. This wonderful charity, which was born from the 100 letters Alison wrote to Brian during his cancer treatment, collects anonymous letters written by volunteers for cancer patients. The letters aim for a connection and sense of comfort, humour even, at a time of difficulty. We try to include one in every bag.

The Cancer Club was formed in 2020 by Matthew Wiltshire and is dedicated to bringing men with a cancer diagnosis together to enhance their wellbeing. Their mission is to get men talking through an online community and by taking them to a variety of sporting events where they can connect over common experiences and gain emotional support.

Stories of Cancer and Hope
Kevin Donaghy has created this very special book written by cancer patients and their friends and family. A cancer patient himself, he raised the funds, collated, edited and published this wonderful book so that others can access and benefit from this printed community. We aim to pack one in as many bags as possible.

This charity is a goldmine of wonderful experiences for cancer patients and their families. Via their website, patients can access a variety of gifts generously donated by individuals and companies, from stays in hotels and houses, to meals in restaurants, beauty treatments and tickets for events. Once a month we team up for a Treatment Bag giveaway.

Set up by Kaz, who at the age of 31 received a devastating breast cancer diagnosis, Wigs for Heroes provides grants for those who can't afford a quality wig. During treatment Kaz lost her hair but the NHS could only offer "a couple of hallowe'en rejects". At up to £400, quality wigs are a big investment, but one which allows many women to get on with their lives. Based in Tottenham, Wigs for Heroes have partnered with Hair to Ware to provide much-needed support for the local community.

Brava Bramley
For over 5 years we have been lucky enough to experience a small miracle in the form of Chloë Luxton, the inspirational creator of Bramley. Also based in the South West, through good times and not-so-good Covid times, Bramley have continuously supplied us with their innovative, gentle, sustainable skin products for our bags.
Without a pause for any thanks, Chloë and her team have generously provided the ultimate treat for all patients. Bramley - self-described 'plantsmiths' - are a pioneering force for good, with values of kindness for the planet and us all at their core.
We don't have the words to properly express our respect and thanks but look forward to many more positive endeavours together.

Amazing Grace
At the tender age of 18, Grace was diagnosed with stage 3 Hodgkin's Lymphoma. As if enduring the many gruelling sessions of chemotherapy and radiotherapy weren't enough, she also managed to raise an incredible amount of money for charity. She donated £5,000 to Treatment Bag, so that she could hand bags out to patients at her local hospital. She visited Treatment bag HQ with her mum to help finish preparing the bags and to drive them back to North Wales.
Subsequently she was inspired to create her own charity - Star Box Wrexham - which creates gift boxes for cancer patients at her local hospital on the Shooting Star ward in the Wrexham Maelor hospital.
We are truly amazed by you Grace.

The first delivery of Treatment Bags to the Wrexham Maelor hospital, where Grace now donates her own gift boxes.
"Donating our products to the Treatment Bag was an easy decision.
I hope they make a small difference."
